The EVEN Realities G2 is the first everyday wearable, prescription friendly smart glasses available in Australia. With the introduction of Even Realities G2, we can confidently say we offer the latest in eyewear, wearable AR technology and smart glasses. 

What the G2 Is — and What It Isn't

The Even Realities G2 is a pair of smart glasses with a built-in dual "heads-up" LED display, an AI assistant, and no camera. 

Even Realities has consciously designed a product with  no camera and  no speakers. The G2 is entirely display-focused: it shows you information in your field of vision without recording anything about your environment. For anyone who has hesitated over smart glasses precisely because they involve walking around with a face-mounted camera, the G2 addresses that concern directly.

The result is a pair of frames that looks exactly like an everyday pair of optical glasses. Constructed from titanium and magnesium alloys, offered in the two available shapes round (Shape A) and a rectangular (Shape B), and three subdued colours grey, brown, and green.

At 36 grams, they sit lighter on the face than most titanium optical frames we stock.

 

The Display: What You Actually See

The G2 uses Even's HAO 2.0 (Holistic Adaptive Optics) system — a multi-layer waveguide with micro-LED projectors built into both lenses (Think about this like a heads-up display in your car). The overlay is monochrome green, and it sits in the lower peripheral field rather than central vision, which means you're not staring at a screen.

The display area is 75% larger than the previous G1 generation, and 50% sharper. The information presented whether it be notifications, navigation prompts, translated text or AI responses is genuinely readable without straining. It's not the same experience as looking at a phone screen; it's more like glancing at a smart watch.

For patients with strong prescriptions, Even Realities offer customised prescription lenses digitally manufactured to integrate with the waveguide display cleanly. The G2 supports single vision and multifocal prescriptions for short sighted, longsighted and astigmatisim ( –12.00 to +12.00 diopters). High-index lens options are also available.

What the G2 Actually Does

The device runs a suite of built-in apps, with more arriving through the Even Hub third-party platform. These features include: 

• Conversate

An AI conversation assistant that operates even in noisy environments. Conversate listens in on discussions and surfaces contextually relevant information — explaining terminology, providing background on people or topics, generating on-the-spot follow-up questions, and producing captions and meeting summaries and real-time translation across multiple languages displayed directly in your field of vision.  Most importantly nothing is recorded.

• Teleprompt

Text scrolling delivered through the display. Designed for presentations and public speakers- including, famously, Palmer Luckey who delivered his TED 2025 talk without a teleprompter by reading it through his G2 have found this feature transformative. For anyone who runs meetings and finds eye contact difficult when referencing notes. 

• Navigation

Turn-by-turn directions overlaid in your field of vision. For cyclists, pedestrians, and anyone trying to navigate a new city without pulling out a phone at every intersection.

• Dashboard & Notifications

Weather, calendar, messages, and personal health metrics — all surfaced discreetly without requiring you to look at a screen. The G2 is designed to reduce phone dependency rather than replace one screen with another.

• The Even AI Assistant

The Even AI is what separates the G2 from a notification mirror. Activated by saying "Hey Even," the assistant now responds three times faster than the previous generation and remembers previous questions so interactions build context over time rather than starting from scratch each time. The core interaction is voice-first and entirely hands-free: no unlocking, no apps — just speak naturally and get instant results on the floating display. The AI draws on web-connected knowledge for real-time information, and uses long-term memory for personalised interactions, understanding your intent with greater accuracy and delivering concise answers formatted specifically for the display.

• The Even Hub

The platform is also expanding through Even Hub — an app store built specifically for the G2's glanceable interface, where developers gain API access tied to the glasses' AI features.

 

The Clip-On

One of the more practical details about the G2 ecosystem is the sunglasses clip-on. The G2 Clip is a purpose-built accessory that converts the G2 into sunglasses via a magnetic attachment. Low-profile, secure, and designed to maintain the clean aesthetic of the frame, it's available in Grey, Green, or Brown tinted lenses to match or compliment your frame.  A considered accessory not an afterthought.

The Even R1 Smart Ring

The R1 is sold separately, and is best understood as a companion device rather than a standalone product. Made from ceramic and stainless steel, it functions as a finger-based trackpad for navigating the G2's interface: thumb gestures control scrolling, selection, and feature activation without touching the actual spectacle frame.

This resolves one of the persistent awkwardness problems of smart glasses: the act of reaching up to touch your own frames in public. The R1 allows discrete control — a thumb movement is far less conspicuous than repeatedly tapping the side of your head.

The ring also functions as a basic wellness wearable, tracking heart rate, sleep quality (including REM and deep sleep stages), blood oxygen, steps, and calories. It's IP68 water-resistant and carries a four-day battery life. Do note however that as a health tracker it's capabilities are more limited than a dedicated device like an Oura ring. The R1 is designed to help facilitate the functionality of the G2 ecosystem.

Who This Is For

The G2 is a considered purchase, it's for those who value innovation, craftsmanship, and the promise of technology that keeps evolving. Regular updates ensure the experience only gets better with time.

With that said, there are specific profiles for whom this product makes a great deal of sense:

• Professionals who present, speak, or run meetings frequently — Conversate and Teleprompt are genuinely useful tools in these environments.
• Prescription wearers who've been waiting for smart glasses that accommodate their prescription — the G2's prescription range is among the broadest in the category.
• Anyone motivated by phone-free information access — the G2 is designed to provide you critical information you need without requiring you to look at a screen.
• Privacy-conscious tech adopters — the absence of a camera and information not being recorded is a deliberate choice.

Even Realities sells direct online, and that's a perfectly legitimate route for many buyers. But the G2 is optical hardware that involves a prescription, a face fitting, and an integration with your actual vision. Buying online and guessing on frame shape, lens parameters, and prescription input introduces risk, especially for anyone with a complex prescription or specific fitting requirements.
