YES! We are a Medicare Bulk-Billing practice, which means that if you hold a valid Medicare card, our general eye examinations are covered by Medicare.
Additional testing and imaging does carry a private fee- our optometrist will advise you of this before any further testing is conducted.
For those without a Medicare card, eye tests do carry a private fee.
(Note that a portion of this fee may be claimed back by some private health insurance providers)
30 Minutes is a good amount of time to set aside for your eye test, we pride ourselves in providing ample time to discuss all your eye related questions as well as to conduct thorough testing and to go through your findings. We tailor our tests to your individual needs and will devote further time to make sure all your concerns are addressed.
General eye examinations are recommended every 2 years for patients under the age of 65. After this age, a yearly test is strongly advised.
If however you are experiencing new symptoms, your eyes are bothering you or have questions about your eyes, feel free to book a test and we'll be more than happy to ease your mind.
If you're about to invest in new glasses as well, we do offer prescription checks just to make sure we are using the latest results.
YES! We accept all health funds and can process your claims on the spot. Not sure how much Optical Extras benefits you have? We can check for you right there and then.
Yes, our optometrists are registered with VicRoads and can submit your eyesight assessments on the spot.

FOUNDER'S STORY
SEASONS Optical was founded by Luke Yong, an optometrist with over a decade of experience in boutique optical practice. Prior to opening SEASONS Optical, Luke spent 10 years at The Eye Piece in Sydney, where he refined his approach to clinical eye care, luxury eyewear curation, and highly personalised service.
That experience shaped a clear vision for what an optical practice could be — one that emphasised providing an exemplary customer journey from start to finish. SEASONS Optical was created to bring that philosophy to Melbourne: a space where eye care is never rushed, eyewear is thoughtfully curated, and every patient experience is tailored.
